Current Leadership Roles

Chicago Bar Association, Health Law Committee, Chair (2013-2014), Vice-Chair (2012-2013). This is a health law-focused practice committee of the Chicago Bar Association that hosts educational meetings on a monthly basis.

American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), Immigration Affinity Group, Co-Chair (2012 to present). The Immigration Affinity Group is associated with the Labor & Employment Practice Group of AHLA and is responsible for education and outreach regarding immigration issues for the healthcare sector.

American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Chicago District CBP Liaison Committee (2013 -2014; 2007-2009). This is a peer-selected committee that liaises with Chicago CBP Management on a regularly scheduled basis. Minutes are published on AILA Infonet and are available to AILA members.

International Medical Graduate Taskforce (IMG Taskforce), Advocacy Co-Chair (2010 to present). As Advocacy Co-Chair, Kristen has lead advocacy efforts with respect to physician immigration legislation, including S. 616, relevant sections of S. 744, and the SKILLS Act in the current Congress.
